Since 2025, Lukas has been a returning guest lecturer at the University of Exeter, teaching on gender identity. In his teaching, Lukas highlights the normality of gender diversity introducing students to gender diversity through biological, psychological and social perspectives.

Teaching and Training

Lukas dedicates a substantial part of his teaching to therapeutic support for the LGBTQ+ community. His teaching of the therapeutic approach to exploring gender identity and navigating transition is highly person-centred and draws on established principles of mental health interventions adapted specifically to the needs of gender-diverse individuals. Neurodivergence is also highly co-occurring within gender-diverse populations. Lukas’ teaching therefore includes suggestions for adapting therapy to make it relevant, accessible and affirming for all.
